على مرمى بصرٍ من رصيف ميناء عدن العريق، تتراءى لك “جزيرتا النهدين” كقطعتين من الفيروز العائم. هاتان الجزيرتان الصغيرتان، اللتان يُطلق عليهما “التوأمان” لتقارب حجمهما وتشابه ملامحهما، ترتسمان على صفحة البحر كتوأمٍ متماثل يخطف الأنفاس، لم تطأهما كثافة بشرية بعد، لذلك ما زالتا تحتفظان بعذرية طبيعةٍ لم تعبث بها سوى نسائم المساء ورفيف أجنحة النوارس.

تقع الجزيرتان بالقرب من ميناء عدن في مديرية المعلا، ويمكن الوصول إليهما بسهولة عبر القوارب الصغيرة في رحلة قصيرة لا تتجاوز دقائق معدودة.
